2023 Volvo C40 vs. 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge: Scandinavian Power and Versatility

The XC40 Recharge and the C40 are Volvo’s contributions to the electric car world. And they are both extremely popular, especially with drivers who are looking for maximum performance and efficiency in a stylish package that makes heads turn. Both vehicles have their own styling cues and overall size, but they also share a lot of elements.

Here, we compare the 2023 Volvo C40 with the 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge.

Riveting accelerations and impressive range

The Volvo C40 and Volvo XC40 Recharge are made for drivers who like the trip as much as the destination. Two advanced electric motors each outputting 201 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque are positioned in the front and in the rear in order to deploy impressive combined ratings of 402 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. These motors give the XC40 and C40 superior AWD capabilities in the summer and in the winter, and they are powered by a 78, kWh battery pack that is strategically placed in the floor.

This powertrain provides drivers with the best of both worlds; it enables the XC40 Recharged and the C40 to go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4,8 seconds, but also gives them impressive range figures. With 364 kilometres for the C40 and 359 kilometres for the XC40 Recharge, you’ll be able to cover plenty of distance.

Comfort and versatility

Occupants will take advantage of a refined and spacious environment in both the XC40 Recharge and the C40. But the XC40 Recharge provides a bit more cargo volume. With a 578 litres behind the rear seats, the XC40 Recharge lets you carry more than the C40 when it is full of passengers – the volume for the C40 is 413 litres in the same configuration. Once the rear seating area is folded down, both vehicles can unleash upwards of 1,200 litres.

The XC40 Recharge and the C40 are both crafted using pure and refined materials inside, and both vehicles deliver unique infotainment technologies thanks to Google. Standard passive and active safety systems are also a priority on all trims.

The Volvo C40 and Volvo XC40 Recharge are more stylish, more powerful and more versatile than their rivals. Come see them today! You can also shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
