Finally, the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain outputs 400 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque in the XC90. It remains very efficient, with ratings of 9.1 L/100 km in the city and 8.4 L/100 km on the highway.
The 2022 Acura MDX offers a 3.5-litre V6 which generates 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, which is less than the XC90's T6- and T8-equipped models. The MDX doesn’t have a hybrid model, either. A Type S model is expected to join the lineup at some point, but with only 355 horsepower, it will still be far behind the T8 powertrain.
